SIGEP 2023 to host international competitions

Household names in dolce foodservice will join the 44th edition of SIGEP, taking place between January 21 and 25, which is held in conjunction with the 7th installment of AB Tech Expo. Participating pastry chefs will include: masters Igino Massari, Salvatore De Riso, Alessandro Dalmasso, Roberto Rinaldini, Eugenio Morrone, as well as Marcus Bohr, Executive Pastry Chef Harrods in London, and Giancarlo Timballo, President of Cogel Fipe and Gelato World Cup organizer, the Italian Exhibition Group announces.

Competitions held at the show will include:

  • The Women’s Pastry Queen – with competitors from Korea, Japan, India, Italy and Peru 
  • The Junior Pastry World Championship – for pastry makers under 25
  • Bread in the City – the fifth international bakery championship will feature teams from China, Croatia, Israel, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru, Portugal and Spain
  • The Gelato World Cup
  • Coffee competitions ahead of the World Coffee Championships
