The European Commission approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the proposed merger between Novozymes A/S and Christian Hansen A/S. The approval is conditional upon full compliance with the commitments offered by the parties.
Novozymes was represented by its CEO, Ester Baiget, at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Novozymes was one of the first companies to align its business to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Novozymes and Chr. Hansen are merging, aiming to provide “efficient, scalable, and sustainable biosolutions,” they announced. Uniting and optimizing the innovation platforms of both companies will bring together approximately 2,000 employees globally.
