Tate & Lyle PLC was recognized as one of Europe’s Climate Leaders by a Financial Times report, which is compiled in partnership with data provider Statista. The report analyzes the 600 European companies that demonstrated the most substantial reduction in their Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions intensity – tonnes of emissions or CO2 equivalent for EUR 1 million of revenue – from 2017 to 2022. Collaborations with organizations such as the Science Based Targets Initiative and CDP were also taken into consideration.
Nick Hampton, Chief Executive, Tate & Lyle said in a statement: “We are proud to be named as a European Climate Leader and to be recognized for the actions we are taking to accelerate the decarbonization of our business and supply chain. Our recently announced new science-based targets deliver greater and faster GHG emissions reduction and are a clear demonstration of our commitment to care for our planet and its natural resources for the benefit of future generations.”
