The new product marks the return of the Chocolate Digestives in pladis’ portfolio for the first time since 2005, on the 100th anniversary of the McVitie’s Chocolate Digestive. The new variety is a permanent addition to the range.

“A British icon reimagined. The McVitie’s White Chocolate Digestive is back and this time, it’s here to stay,” pladis announced on social media. The White Chocolate Digestives feature the original Digestive, covered in a layer of creamy white chocolate.

They are already available at Sainsbury’s and Co-op, and in other UK supermarkets including Tesco, Asda and Morrisons, from August 14.

“As well as benefiting from a flavor profile with such a huge, engaged fan base – putting McVitie’s on the shopper lists of even more consumers – we’ve no doubt loyal McVitie’s Digestive fans will also be clamoring to get their hands on our McVitie’s White Chocolate Digestives,” said Aslı Özen Turhan, chief marketing officer at Pladis UK&I, quoted by Better Retailing.
