Warburtons announced two new additions: Protein Bagels and ‘Our Dough Bagels. They are already available for purchase at Asda stores and will roll out to Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury’s shelves in the following weeks.
Warburtons announced the opening of a new bakery in Wakefield, formerly a facility of Rathbones Bakery. The acquisition is part of its GBP 100 million investment program.
Following the successful deployment of its first 16-tonne electric truck in Enfield, Warburtons, is adding four new Renault Trucks E-Tech D16s to its fleet, in an effort to transition to zero-emission deliveries. In addition to the E-Tech D16s, Warburtons has also purchased its first electric vans, two Renault Trucks E-Tech Master vans with Luton bodies, according to a press statement issued by Renault.
Warburtons launched a new TV ad starring Samuel L. Jackson, titled ‘Mad about bread’. The baker’s past campaigns included other celebrities who promoted bread, such as George Clooney, Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone.
Waitrose supermarket removed all Warburtons products from its shelves, citing that product performance issues, according to reports. In response, Warburtons issued a statement highlighting the quality of their products, a first priority for the bakery.
Warburtons closed a three-year full-service contract with Asset Alliance Group to use 26 new DAF XF 480 trucks.
