The Middleby Corporation is acquiring Gorreri Food Processing Technology, a manufacturer of baking machinery for products such as cakes, pies, muffins, tarts and desserts. Gorreri is headquartered in Parma, Italy, where it runs a 50,000-square-foot facility.
The Middleby Corporation bought JC Ford, a manufacturer of tortilla production equipment systems. JC Ford offers a broad range of automated, full-line solutions for corn and flour tortillas, tortilla chips, and other corn-based snacks.
Puratos extended its Ambiante range of ready-to-whip toppings and fillings with a new entry: chocolate. The Ambiante Chocolate Flavor is 100% dairy-free, with no artificial flavors or colors (NAFNAC) and uses cocoa powder from Puratos’s sustainable Cacao-Trace program.

American Pan is preparing to exhibit a comprehensive range of baking solutions at iba, including those from Runex and Turbel, companies that joined the Bundy Baking Solutions group since the last iba. The focus will be on eco-friendly solutions, energy-efficient and smart equipment.
