Energy consumption is undisputed at the top of the industry’s concerns and efforts for improvement. Tunnel ovens offer opportunities to go the extra mile on the path to resource savings. The eight-generation oven builders at HEUFT have also been observing a surge in the interest in economical and flexible machines, now a universal top priority in the industry.
Sharp energy supply disruptions have shown the financial value of having a flexible system that can adapt all types of pre-existing heating methods to the cheapest and/or immediately available energy source.
HEUFT is bringing one of its latest heat exchangers to Munich this October, as well as a deck and a trolley oven. Its thermal oil system will be used to bake live at the show. HEUFT is exhibiting along its sister company that specializes in refrigeration and cooling systems, ICECOOL.
Better-for-you preferences also apply to bread. Several mixing options help increase production volumes while still providing goods that still feel and taste artisan-made. The demand for healthier options in baked goods continues to rise, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only intensified this trend.
For process consistency, FRITSCH equipped the IMPRESSA bread (and all its industrial lines) with a new, output-based line control. How does it work?
VMI will feature a comprehensive range of equipment at its iba booth, catering to small and large-scale production, including automated mixing systems.
VMI will showcase its entire equipment range at iba, for small operations and industrial bakeries. Two of the company’s latest developments, a high-capacity fermenter and a new double-tool mixer, are among the highlights at the stand. VMI shared what visitors can look forward to, in an interview.
Hygiene priorities ruled the drawing board for new equipment revisions at SOLLICH. The Thermo-Flow® cooling tunnel debuts a wheel-out heat exchanger, to allow the operator to clean it easily and thoroughly. Efficient cleaning is an improved feature we will find on numerous SOLLICH machines this year, most of which are to be unveiled at interpack.
IPCO highlights chocolate forming systems at interpack, designed for the production of industrial ingredients – chips, chunks, drops and blocks – and decorative products such as shavings, rolls, pencils, blossoms, etc.
IPCO launched a new, self-contained laser cleaning system that can be used on-site. It was developed with the aim of lowering cleaning times, which can be cut by at least half, IPCO says, with minimal disruption to other lines.
Energy efficiency may be just part of the equation when selecting a type of belt, but it is an increasingly important one given the dramatic rise in energy costs that the world is currently experiencing.
