MULTIVAC acquires a majority stake in Italianpack S.p.A.
MULTIVAC Group acquired an 80% majority stake in Italianpack S.p.A., a manufacturer of automatic and semi-automatic packaging machines headquartered in Como, Italy. Italianpack will be incorporated into the MULTIVAC organization as a new business unit under the leadership of Tomaso Petrini, CEO of Italianpack.

The automated line designed by AMF Tromp can flexibly support a wide range of pies, either savory or sweet, in a baking tray, in foils, or in paper cups. They can bake the pie shells only, pies with the top opened or closed and pies with or without a lattice decoration. Harpak-ULMA debuts tray sealing technology in the US
Harpak-ULMA launched the Mondini Trave Sinfonia® in its home market in the US. The solution was first unveiled at interpack. The automated tray-packing solution helps increase packaging throughput and comes in a smaller footprint. The highly simplified process is combined with Mondini’s new sealer, its largest sealer to date.
ABI to highlight robot scoring at iba
ABI will exhibit its KATANA multi-purpose robot scoring solution, which now also offers a waterjet scoring tool. The Toronto-based company will also present Eye-Q, its new AI-enabled complete quality control system, providing product quality analysis across different stages of production.
Syntegon wins fourth German Packaging Award
Syntegon won the German Packaging Prize in the ‘packaging machines’ category, from the German Packaging Institute (Deutsches Verpackungsinstitut e.V.). Its IDH handling system incorporates innovative picker technology, which enables manufacturers to considerably reduce the space required from the infeed belt to the packaging machine.
