BAKON Food Equipment announced a new operating system for their machinery. It allows operators to control complex production systems through an intuitive dashboard.
ECD brings touchscreen profiling technology to iba
ECD will bring its thermal profiling technology to iba in October. The handheld M.O.L.E.™ EV6 sets a new benchmark for thermal data loggers, delivering instantaneous data access and intuitive control – now with a full-color touchscreen display. In addition to the six-channel M.O.L.E. EV6, the company’s BreadOMETER™, CakeOMETER™, and OvenBALANCER™ sensors will be demonstrated at the stand.
Martin Braun Group achieves record sales
The Martin Braun Group generated record sales of EUR 626 million in FY 2022, a 19.7% growth compared to the previous year, with all product ranges performing well, despite ongoing challenges such as inflation concerns among consumers. Its Poland Gida joint venture in Turkey also enjoyed significant growth.
ECD commercializes touchscreen-enabled thermal profiler
ECD’s M.O.L.E.™ EV6 touchscreen thermal profiler is now commercially available, with shipments starting April 1. The interface is said to have a user-friendly, intuitive design engineered to save baking professionals time, simplify data viewing and analysis, and improve productivity.
Cutting straight to the chase
For smaller and medium-sized operations and their footprint challenges, BAKON recently added a new solution to its portfolio of cutting equipment: the Pico ultrasonic cutting machine. The Dutch specialist introduced this solution in 2022 to bring an additional choice to its range of cutters.

BAKON launches Pico ultrasonic cutting machine
BAKON introduced a new ultrasonic cutting machine, the PICO, designed for operations with smaller production volumes. It can be used for round and rectangular cakes, as well as for triangle-shaped products, in trays, or on cutting boards.
Compact and easy to operate
Metering and depositing – machines in the Dutch manufacturer BAKON’s BD series can also undertake these tasks. The BD3 Multi-Depositor is designed as a bench-top equipment for smaller bakery businesses, bigger machines such as the BD9 variant allow the metering and depositing process to be increasingly automated.
Fit for the future
Wolf ButterBack KG, a premium frozen baked products manufacturer in Fürth, is growing dynamically and is investing around EUR 50 million in a new third factory. The company had to expand production capacity to meet rising demand.
