Royal Smilde installs AMF pastry line
Royal Smilde is known for its rich diversity of sweet and savory baked creations. Either sold under its own labels, through collaborations, or as private labels, the products made by the Dutch bakery are in growing demand worldwide. A very flexible production line helped them increase production volumes, built by AMF Bakery Systems (Tromp). Particular care was given to automating apple turnover production, namely โ dough folding into a triangle.
ProSweets 2024: IPCO highlights chocolate depositor
AT ProSweets, IPCO will showcase the IPCO Rotoform HP rotary drop depositor for chocolate chip production and an advanced piston depositor. The Rotoform HP (High Performance) is the latest model in this series and was specifically designed for chocolate processing. The dosing unit will be showcased with live demonstrations at the trade show in Cologne (Hall 10.1, Stand G080).
Schubert to showcase snack packaging solutions
Gerhard Schubert will start the 2024 exhibition year with ProSweets Cologne. From January 28 to 31, the machine manufacturer will highlight the TLM Comfort Feeder, an entirely new solution for feeding carton blanks designed for efficiency and prioritizing resource-saving.
New plastic-free packaging for frozen bread
UPM Specialty Papers, Lantmรคnnen Unibake and Adara teamed up to create a new fiber-based packaging that replaces plastic bags as primary packaging for frozen baked goods. To minimize the use of fossil-based materials, plastic bags were eliminated by using UPM Asendo barrier paper as an inner liner in the corrugated cardboard box.

Schubert showcases packaging solutions at iba

Harpak-ULMA debuts tray sealing technology in the US
Harpak-ULMA launched the Mondini Trave Sinfoniaยฎ in its home market in the US. The solution was first unveiled at interpack. The automated tray-packing solution helps increase packaging throughput and comes in a smaller footprint. The highly simplified process is combined with Mondiniโs new sealer, its largest sealer to date.
Kwik Lok launches Enviro-Lok sustainable closure
Kwik Lok announced the launch of its latest bag closure designed for sustainability. The Enviro-Lok is a polypropylene bag closure that is made to keep products safe and fresh, while also delivering a better potential for recycling.

Brabender joins Anton Paar Group
Anton Paar acquired the German company Brabender on August 1. It will be integrated into the Anton Paar Group as Anton Paar TorqueTec GmbH. Brabenderโs team of approximately 200 employees will become part of Anton Paar.
